ANTIGONISH, NS - The STFX X-Women walked away with a 1-1 draw with the Acadia Axewomen on Sunday afternoon at STFX Stadium.
Riley Bonadie pit the Axewomen on the board 10 minutes into the match, striking one in low for the top of the box. Acadia held most of the possession early in the game, through STFX had their chances as well.
Ava Elgood tied the game up five minutes into the second half, slotting one from in close after a great pass to the middle from Aidan Miller.
The teams battled for the rest of the half but weren't able to break the deadlock.
Cheyenne Bower was the Gabriel Pizza Player of the Game for the X-Women while Emily Clarke was player of the match for Acadia.
The X-Women next hit the pitch on Friday, October 17, when they visit the Memorial Sea-Hawks at 5 p.m.
