X-Women and X-Men run to first place finishes at Moncton meet
Both the X-Women and X-Men teams ran to first place team finishes at the Moncton Invitational meet
Moncton, NB – Both the X-Women and X-Men Cross Country teams ran to first place team finishes at the Moncton Invitational Saturday afternoon.
The X-Women had four runners in the top ten, including race winner Caroline Ash, who finished with a time of 29:28 atop the field of 55 runners.
Eileen Benoit came third with a 29:50 clocking, while Poppy Moon was fifth at 30:03 and Caden Lee eighth at 30:22.

The X-Women earned 27 points in the team standings, better than Dalhousie's 39 and Memorial's 59.
In the men's team standings, the X-Men posted 23 points, ahead of Dalhousie (51) and UPEI (92).
STFX's Brett King was the race winner, besting the field of 57 with a time of 25:29. King was joined by six X teammates in the top ten, including Griffin Gamble (25:57), Luke MacDonald (26:04), Liam Patterson (26:11), Mathew Lawton (26:18), Liam McCullagh (26:24) and Conlan MacKenzie (26:27), who placed fourth through ninth, respectively.

The X runners have completed their regular season meets and will next see action at the AUS championship on October 25th in Wolfville, NS.
