X-Women volleyball to host scrimmages

The X-Women volleyball team will be hitting the court this coming Saturday, January 5th in a one-day exhibition showcase featuring three other AUS teams.
The X-Women, Acadia Axewomen, Saint Mary’s Huskies and Moncton Aigles Bleues will all be playing three sets of 25 against each other in a tune-up prior to the start of AUS regular season play.
Two courts will be set up in the Oland Centre main gym and fans are invited to come out to view some high-caliber AUS women’s volleyball action free of charge. The schedule of scrimmages follows below.
The X-Women currently hold a 3-6 record with 6 points and sit in fourth place behind Dalhousie (7-2, 14 points), Moncton (5-4, 10 points) and Saint Mary’s (4-6, 8 points). UNB is tied with the X-Women (3-8, 6 points), while Memorial (2-6, 4 points), Acadia (2-8, 4 points) and Cape Breton (0-10, 0 points) round out the AUS standings.
The X-Women will resume AUS regular season action on January 12th and 13th when they travel to St. John’s for game against the Memorial Sea-Hawks.
