StFX X-Women: Finished in fourth place in AUS conference with 8-9 record for 16 points
Memorial SeaHawks: Finished in fifth place in AUS conference with 7-10 for 14 points
Season Series: StFX won the season series 2-0, winning 3-0 and 3-1 matches at StFX back on November 5-6, 2011.
AUS Playoff History: The last time these two teams played each other was the 2005-2006 season when the SeaHawks beat the X-Women in the AUS quarterfinals 3 sets to 2. Memorial eventually lost to the Saint Mary’s Huskies in the semi-finals that year 3-1.

- Chantal Jones: Has a 2.94 hitting percentage, good enough for fourth in the conference. Her 212 total points is eighth overall in AUS.
- Sam March: Posted 212 total kills this season, third overall in the AUS, with her 243 points tally coming in fourth in the conference.
- Angela Peddle: Recorded 69 blocks and was third in AUS blocking, as well as scoring 191 points, good enough for ninth in the AUS conference.

- Katherine Ryan: Recorded 191 total kills this season, averaging 2.89/game which put her tied for fifth overall in AUS kills. She also scored 214 total points, seventh in the AUS conference.
- Catherine Thornton: Finished the season with 191 total kills, tying her teammate Katherine Ryan for fifth in AUS kills. She also scored 215 points, which was sixth overall in the conference.
- Jessica Roberts: Served up 35 service aces this season, good enough second in the AUS. She also led the X-Women team in blocking and was third in kills.
Game Notes:
X-Women head coach Danny Da Costa on his team’s record this season against the SeaHawks: “We have had success against them this year, but it is a whole new season now. Anyone can beat anyone on any given night so it doesn’t matter what happened in the past.”
The AUS Championship tournament is a very short tournament where you have to win every game to move on to the next round. The winner will move on the semi-finals on Saturday evening.
