X-Women Win Two at Home

StFX earned its 8th win of the season today with a gutsy 3-2 win over CBU (25-14, 17-25, 25-16, 26-28, 15-12).  The win moved the Blue & White into 2nd place in the AUS.  Rookie Jessica Roberts (17 kills, 1 ace, 5 blocks) and Catherine Thornton (19 kills, 3 aces, 14 digs) led the way to the victory.  Player of the Game Lauren Ellis was solid defensively collecting 14 digs while Michaela Vorlova added 18 digs and 10 kills.  CBU (3-10) was led by Middle Blocker Vanessa St. Georges who collected 14 kills, 2 aces and 2 blocks. 

The X-Women take to the court next on Friday, February 4th at Dalhousie (7:00) and will host their last home game of the year on Sunday, February 6th vs the St. Mary’s Huskies.
