Ryan named to CIS All-Rookie team

X-Women volleyball left side hitter Katherine Ryan was named to the CIS All-Rookie team at the gala awards banquet held Wednesday night in Fredericton in conjunction with the CIS national championship.

A native of Halifax, NS, Ryan had an outstanding freshman season with the X-Women, and was named AUS Rookie of the Year,in addiiton to earning a spot on the AUS all-rookie team. She lead the X-Women in kills this past season with 4.36 per game, a number good enough for second place overall in the AUS, and she was also scoring in the AUS with 4.76 ppg. She lead the team in hitting percentage at 0.208 (12th in AUS).
