X-Women Volleyball honors academic excellence
On Tuesday, November 18, the StFX Department of Athletics recognized its record high 58 Academic All-Canadians (for the 2007-2008 season) at a celebratory breakfast. An Academic All-Canadian is a student-athlete who achieves an academic average of 80% or higher.
The X-Women Volleyball program was pleased to acknowledge its two Academic All-Canadians: Catherine Thornton, a second year Bachelor of Arts student from Kobe, Japan and former X-Woman Pat Hoyland, a fourth year Bachelor of Arts student with a joint major from Spruce Grove, Alberta.
Both X-Women were on hand for the breakfast and a photo opportunity with X-Women head coach Michelle Aucoin and University President Sr. Sean Riley who was on hand for the presentations. The X-Women Volleyball program congratulates Catherine and Pat on their outstanding accomplishment.
