Getting to Know...Claire Gibbons

X-Women soccer defence Claire Gibbons is the latest athlete featured in our Getting to Know your X-Women and X-Men series throughout the summer. Claire recently completed her second year with the X-Women and is a Business student from Ottawa, Ont.

Nickname:  Claire Bear (family will not let that go) or my teammates call me Gibby

My favorite moment to date as a StFX student-athlete is…?
Beating CBU 1-0 midway through this past season. They were the defending AUS champs in 2012 & 2013 and we hadn't beaten them since 2011.

If I could be Prime Minister for one day I would…?
I would invite myself onto Ellen Degeneres, make quite a good first impression, become great friends, and get the in with all the cool people that she meets.

My favorite Disney movie or character is…?
My favourite Disney movie character is a toss-up between Troy or Gabriella on High School Musical. Whether I'm feeling like taking on the alto or soprano role on the given day is the deciding factor.

My biggest pet peeve is…?
When people litter

How it is so easy to get to know so many people! Can't say that about every university.

Tell us something interesting about your hometown?
Throughout the summer over 1000 people gather on Parliament Hill every Wednesday to do Yoga all summer long.
