X-Women hockey alumni face China
A trio of X-Women hockey alumni participated recently in international competition. Former X-Women Rebecca Davies, Amanda Church and Lindsay Brown are members of the Mississauga Chiefs of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League (CWHL), and faced off in a game against the Chinese national Olympic team in Toronto this past week.
\r\nThe Chiefs won the game 3-0 and all three goals came off the sticks of the X-Women grads. Lindsay Brown opened the scoring in the game, while Rebecca Davies followed up scoring the other two markers, including a shorthanded goal for the last one.
\r\n The Chinese team is in greater Toronto area for pre-season Olympic training and will play 21 games against Ontario Women’s Hockey Association teams, along with games against other CWHL teams and CIS teams (York, Toronto, Wilfred Laurier, Waterloo).
