X-Women Split Weekend

The StFx X-Women went 1-1 over the weekend, defeating UPEI Saturday afternoon 76-44 and falling to Acadia on Sunday 80-75.

Education student Camesha McKenzie and fifth-year senior Ashley Stephen were instrumental in the X-Women's success over the weekend. In two games McKenzie racked up 24 points and 10 points while Stephen did her best, combing in the two games for 15 points and a team high 17 rebounds.

The X-Women took care of business against PEI convincingly, holding PEI to 30% shooting from the field including a five point second quarter.

The second game was more difficult for the X-Women as a late fourth quarter rally by Acadia. X had no answer for Emma Duinker who shot 10-16, finishing with 25 points and nine rebounds. 

X-Women next see action this weekend when they host Memorial Saturday at 6pm and Sunday 1pm.
