Five runners compete at Athletics NS meet
One X-Men and four X-Women track runners compete at Athletics Nova Scotia Last Chance meet at Canada Games Centre
Halifax, NS - Five STFX track runners competed at the Athletics Nova Scotia Last Chance meet at the Canada Games Centre Friday night, all in the 3000m event.
For the X-Men, Landyn Cooke-Bithrey was the lone X representative in the race featuring 18 runners. He ran a time of 9:12.81 in sixth place overall.
In the women's 3000m race with 14 competitors, Caroline Ash came out on top with a time of 9:29.31. She was followed closely by her teammates Caden Lee and Eileen Benoit in second and third places. Lee finished at 9:34.35 and Benoit at 9:35.88. Also running for the X-Women was Eden Hildebrand in fifth spot overall with a time of 10:34.92.
Ash's time automatically qualified her for the U SPORTS championship standard time.
This meet marks the only one of the indoor season that X will be competing in prior to the Christmas break. They will be back on the circuit on Saturday, January 17th, again at the Canada Games Centre in Halifax.
