As often is the case with the development of big men, Rod came into his own in the second half of his third year with a strong performance in the Dalhousie Rod Shoveller tournament as he recorded games of 19 points/10 rebounds and 17 points/9 rebounds and was selected as a tournament All-Star…he continued his steady play down the stretch run of the season, averaging 10 ppg and 6 rpg for which he earned the team’s Most Improved Player award…a good student, Rod was also awarded the Kadray Academic Achievement Award for 2012-13.
