X-Men downed 100-76 by Panthers

The StFX X-Men have lost two straight games, including a 100-76 loss to the UPEI Panthers Sunday afternoon in Charlottetown.
All five Panthers’ starters scored in double digits, led by Manock Lual with 22 points. He added nine rebounds for the winners.
Guard Terrence Brown contributed 20 points, four rebounds and seven assists, while Donathon Moss added 18 points and six rebounds.
Jermaine Duke scored a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Panthers, while fifth-year senior added 15 points.
Jeremy Dunn led three X-Men in double figures scoring with 24 points and six rebounds. Will Donkoh chipped in 22 points, eight rebounds and five assists, while Ellis Ffrench added 13 points.
Rodrigo Madera added eight points and 13 rebounds for the visitors.
X-Men leading scorer Terry Thomas and first-year forward Bol Kong did not play, with only seven X-Men playing minutes in the loss.
The Panthers (6-3), who had lost three consecutive regular season games, led 57-39 at halftime.
With the loss, the X-Men are 7-2 for 18 points, placing them in second place behind the Cape Breton University Capers in the AUS standings.
StFX returns to action Wednesday, Jan. 18 at 8 p.m. when they host the Dalhousie Tigers at Oland Centre.
