Fagnan, VonMueldorfer & Burnham named football athletes of the week

McDonald's X-Men Football Offensive Player of the Week
X-Men receiver Isaac Fagnan was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8, 2019. Isaac, a third year Business student from Bonnyville, Alta. led all X-Men receivers in their recent loss to Acadia. He had 5 receptions for 60 yards, averaging 12.0 yards/catch. Isaac also had 2 kick-off returns for 27 yards and 3 punt returns for 18 yards on special teams. 

McDonald's X-Men Football Defensive Player of the Week
X-Men linebacker Ben VonMueldorfer was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8, 2019. Ben, a fifth year Human Kinetics student from Calgary, Alta. had a pair of big defensive plays in the X-Men's recent loss to Acadia. He scored a pick-six on a 45 yard interception return for the X-Men's lone touchdown in the game, and also had a 67 yard return on a fumble recovery. Ben had 5.5 tackles in the game including 5 solo tackles. 

McDonald's X-Men Football Special Teams Player of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Keiran Burnham was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week of Sept. 8, 2019.  Keiran, a fourth year Arts student (5th year eligibility) from Cambridge, Ont. scored 13 of the X-Men's 19 points in their recent loss to Acadia, by going 4/4 in field goals and booting one extra point. Keiran hit field goals from 47, 42, 30 and 41 yards out. He also had 3 punts in the game for 126 yards (42.0 average) and 4 kick-offs for 234 yards (58.5 average).
