Martin, Peters & Heidebrecht receive final X-Men football athlete of the week honors; recognized as AUS football athletes of the week
Wide receiver Dejuan Martin, defensive back Hayden Peters and kicker Jonathan Heidebrecht were honored as the X-Men football athletes of the week for the week ending November 20, 2016, as well as receiving AUS football athlete of the week recognition.

Receiver Dejuan Martin of the StFX X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Nov. 20, 2016.
A second-year business student from Scarborough, Ont., Martin scored two touchdowns in the X-Men's 50-24 loss to Calgary in the U Sports Mitchell Bowl.
He had a 25-yard touchdown catch in the first quarter and a two-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter. Dejuan led all receivers with 10 receptions in the game for a total of 107 yards. He also had one punt return for one yard.

Defensive back Hayden Peters of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men has been named the AUS football defensive player of the week.
A first-year bachelor of education student in his fifth year of eligibility from Inverary, Ont., Peters had seven solo tackles in the X-Men's 50-24 loss to Calgary in the U Sports Mitchell Bowl on Saturday.
He also had one interception and one break-up and played well on special teams coverage as well as on defensive side of the ball.

Name: Jonathan Heidebrecht

Position: Kicker
Hometown: Camrose, Alta.
Year of eligibility: Second
Academic program: BBA
Height and weight: 5'10", 150lbs
StFX kicker Jonathan Heidebrecht has been named the AUS football special teams player of the week.
A second-year business student from Camrose, Alta., Heidebrecht scored 12 points in the X-Men's 50-24 loss to Calgary in the U Sports Mitchell Bowl.
He booted three field goals (15, 37 and 16 yards), along with two point-after converts and one rouge. He also had five kickoffs in the game for 365 total yards.
