X-Men sweep AUS football athlete of the week honors
X-Men receiver Kaion Grant and defensive backs Dylan Bell and Hayden Peters were honored as the AUS football athletes of the week for the week ending September 25, 2016.

Receiver Kaion Grant of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Sept. 25, 2016.
A second-year human kinetics student from Toronto, Grant scored a 99-yard touchdown off a passing play from quarterback Tivon Cook in the X-Men's recent 17-11 loss to the Montreal Carabins.
Grant also had six receptions for 171 total yards, along with a kickoff return for 19 yards and nine punt returns for 113 yards. He currently leads the AUS in all-purpose yards, averaging 205 per game, and is second in receiving yards, averaging 108.7 per game.

Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: Brockville, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Third
Academic program: BSc Human Kinetics
Height and weight: 5'11", 195lbs
Defensive back Dylan Bell of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football defensive player of the week.
A third-year human kinetics student from Brockville, Ont., Bell had six solo tackles in StFX's 17-11 loss to Concordia on Saturday.
He also had two key interceptions for the X-Men defence.

Position: Defensive Back
Hometown: Inverary, Ont.
Year of eligibility: Fifth
Academic program: BEd
Height and weight: 6'2", 210lbs
Defensive back Hayden Peters of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men has been named the AUS football special teams player of the week.
X-Men head coach Gary Waterman commended the six-foot-two, 210-pound receiver for his "strong open-field tackling, discipline on contain and overall tenacious effort on special teams," during StFX's 17-11 loss to Concordia this past Saturday.
Peters' stats also included eight tackles (seven solo and two assisted) on defence in Saturday's matchup.
