Hughes, Bell & Ford named football athletes of the week

X-Men Football Offensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men wide receiver Keon Hughes was named the StFX Football Offensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27, 2015. Keon, a third year Arts student from Mississauga, ON was the top X-Men receiver in a tough 64-0 loss to the CIS No. 2 ranked Laval Rouge et Or on Saturday evening. Keon had three receptions for 36 total yards in the game. In three games played to date Keon has 4 receptions for 42 total yards, averaging 14 yards/game. 

X-Men Football Defensive Athlete of the Week
X-Men defensive back Dylan Bell was named the StFX Football Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27, 2015. Dylan, a second year Human Kinetics student from Brockville, ON recorded 5.5 tackles in the X-Men's recent 64-0 loss to Laval on Saturday evening. Dylan had 4 solo and 3 assisted tackles, along with one forced fumble in the game.

X-Men Football Special Teams Athlete of the Week
X-Men kicker/punter Jeremy Ford was named the StFX Football Special Teams Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 27, 2015. Jeremy, a fourth year Science student (5th year eligibility) from Halifax, NS was busy in the X-Men's recent 64-0 loss to Laval on Saturday evening. He had 12 punts in the game, totaling 413 yards, averaging 34.4 yards/punt. Jeremy also had one punt inside the 20.
