Dickson and Elliott receive AUS athlete of the week honors
X-Men tailback Ashton Dickson was honored as the AUS athlete of the week for the week ending September 7th, while defensive back Charlton Elliott was honored as the AUS special teams player of the week.

Tailback Ashton Dickson of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football offensive player of the week for the week ending Sept. 7, 2014.
Dickson, a 5-foot-9, fourth-year arts student from Ottawa, Ont. lead all X-Men rushers with 161 yards on 23 carries in StFX's 31-7 victory over Saint Mary's Friday night to open the AUS season.
Averaging 7.0 yards per carry, Dickson also had two receptions in the game for 174 all-purpose yards. He scored the X-Men's second touchdown of the game in the second quarter to give StFX a 16-0 lead en route to their first victory at Huskies Stadium since 1998.

Linebacker Matt Montgomery of the Mount Allison Mounties is the Atlantic University Sport football defensive player of the week.
A fourth-year psychology student from Oakville, Ont., Montgomery played an integral part of the Mounties' defence as Mount Allison held the Acadia Axemen to 12 points in Saturday's 20-12 victory to open their AUS season.
Montgomery recorded nine total tackles – seven solo and four assisted. His stats also included a tackle for a loss of two yards as well as two pass breakups.

Defensive back Charlton Elliott of the St. Francis Xavier X-Men is the Atlantic University Sport football special teams player of the week.
A fourth-year arts student in his fifth year of eligibility, Elliott blocked two punts in Friday night's 31-7 victory over Saint Mary's, resulting in forced fumbles which the X-Men recovered. His blocked punt early in the third quarter was recovered for a touchdown to give the X-Men a 26-4 lead.
The 6-foot-0 Pickering, Ont. native also registered one punt return for 24 yards and had one tackle.
