Danny enters the Hall of Fame as a builder for his accomplishments in building a premier hockey team that reached the pinnacle of CIS success in 2004. A StFX alumnus that skated with the blue and white from 1977-79, Danny coached the hockey X-Men for 10 seasons, from 1995 through to 2005. He was the architect behind the establishment of the X-Men hockey program as a perennial power within the CIS. He led his team to three national championship appearances winning the first national championship in the history of StFX hockey in 2004. Additionally, his teams earned CIS silver medals in 2001 and 2003. Coach Flynn is StFX hockey’s all-time leader in career wins with an overall record of 177-123-26 over 326 regular season, AUS and CIS playoff games. Danny effectively led a CIS nationally ranked program for eight straight seasons, finishing in first or second spot in their division six of those eight years, never missing the playoffs. Danny joins his father Kenny Flynn (Class of 1955) who was inducted to the StFX Sports Hall of Fame in 1985.
