Coaching Staff

  Bernie Chisholm
  Head Coach
Head Coach Bernie Chisholm has been coaching the StFX cross country team for the past 24 years, and the StFX track team since it came into existance 7-8 years ago, coaching the distance runners. He also has several years of international and national coaching experience. He has been recognized with several honours, including 9 AUS Cross Country Coach of the Year awards (3 men’s and 6 women’s) and is a member of the Nova Scotia Sport Hall of Fame. He also coached at the high school level for 35 years, winning 57 provincial titles, and he led the X-Men and X-Women cross country teams to their first CIS medals, as the X-Men won silver in 2008 and the X-Women won bronze in 2007. During Bernie’s time with the StFX cross country and track programs he has had 5 athletes represent Canada in international competitions.
 

  Lindsay Tasche
  Assistant Coach

Lindsay has coached the StFX short distance runners and field athletes for the past 3 seasons. A University of Saskatchewan graduate, she competed in the pentathlon, long jump, triple jump and 60m hurdles. While competing with the Huskies, she was a Canada West team champion in 2003 and 2004, and CIS team champion in 2004 and 2005. Lindsay won the pentathlon at the 2006 Canada West track & field championship and was a two-time Canada West all-star and four-time Academic All-Canadian. She represented Saskatchewan at numerous national and international meets and has coached track and field athletes at the high school and university levels. Lindsay earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Saskatchewan in 2006.
