Adopt-an-Athlete

What is the Adopt-An-X-Athlete program?

The StFX Varsity Adopt-An-X-Athlete program is an initiative designed to provide financial assistance to all StFX Varsity teams and student-athletes. When you 'adopt' an X-Man or X-Woman, your contribution provides support in ways that directly enhances the student-athlete's experience at StFX University. It provides an avenue for alumni, family and friends who want to be involved in the lives of our student-athletes. It also provides a link for our coaches and student-athletes to connect with our alumni, past players and community of supporters.

How much does it cost?

The cost of adopting an X-Woman or X-Man varies. We have 4 levels, ranging from $250 to $1000. However, all donations, no matter how large or small, are welcome and greatly appreciated.

How will the donation be used?

• Schedule enhancement - exhibition tournaments and out of conference competitions
• Academic support programs
• Travel meal allowances
• Upgrade equipment inventories or provide footwear allowances
• Special purchases for injury prevention, ie. specialty braces

How will giving benefit the donor?

The Adopt-An-Athlete program will serve to keep you connected to StFX Varsity Athletics and the specific team you have supported. A $250 donation entitles you to:
• A tax receipt for the full amount of the donation;
• Direct contact by your adopted athlete;
• Your name will appear on the Adopt-An-Athlete donor list on our www.goxgo.ca website; and
• Knowing you have made a difference in a university athlete's life.

How do I direct my donation?

Your donation can be directed to any one of our ten varsity programs. Please print the brochure, fill in the donation form with all relevant contact information, and mail it to:
